ComAp, a global leader in smart control solutions, has published its third Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, this time for 2025. In 2025, ComAp passed €100 million in revenue for the first time and opened new subsidiaries in Scandinavia and Indonesia, growing faster than originally planned. The report introduces an ESG Scorecard, which tracks the company’s progress under its 3R strategy: Reduction, Renewables, and Responsibility. It also shows how ESG has become part of the whole business: in 2025, ComAp set up five working groups that bring ESG goals into decisions across the company.

Although the EU’s revised CSRD directive no longer requires ComAp to report non-financial data, the company has chosen to continue. Its largest customers increasingly ask for detailed ESG data, and being able to provide it gives the company a competitive advantage.

“Transparency remains a key priority for ComAp, particularly as sustainability and responsible business practices play an increasingly important role for customers, partners, and other stakeholders. We believe that progress is measured not only through performance indicators, but also through the long-term relationships we build and the positive impact we seek to create,” says Frédéric Deman, ComAp’s CEO.

And Ivana Pokorná, ESG Manager at ComAp, adds further: “Sustainability is not a separate function at ComAp; it is woven into how we make decisions, develop products, and engage with our stakeholders. Our ESG programme has grown from a small initiative into a company-wide commitment, backed by the Executive Team and the Board.”

Reduction: Carbon intensity down 17% since 2022
ComAp added carbon intensity to its key emissions measures[IP1.1]. Since 2022, it has fallen from 449 to 372 tCO₂e per million euros of revenue, a reduction of 17%. ComAp’s total carbon footprint for 2025 was 40,509 tCO₂e, about 1% lower than in 2024.

Combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions rose by about 11% year on year. The increase came mainly from the company’s expansion: new offices and subsidiaries were included in reporting, and some emission categories were introduced at certain locations for the first time. Compared with the 2022 baseline, Scope 1 and 2 emissions are still 10% lower, and ComAp remains committed to a 50% reduction by 2030. Scope 2 emissions fell by 24%, driven mainly by renewable electricity purchases, which now make up 76% of what ComAp consumes worldwide. ComAp is also continuing to electrify its company fleet, which remains a priority for 2026. Scope 3 emissions, covering ComAp’s wider value chain, are 9% below the baseline, progressing towards the ambition of a 20% reduction by 2030.

Renewables: Taxonomy-eligible revenue reaches 57%
57% of ComAp’s revenue now comes from EU Taxonomy-eligible products and services, up from 37% in 2022 and well above the company’s goal of more than 50% by 2030.

“At ComAp, we focus not only on reducing our own impact on the environment, but also on helping customers reduce their emissions through our products,” says Petr Matas, CMO of ComAp.

Responsibility: Employee satisfaction above target
Employee satisfaction reached 84%, above the long-term goal of 75%. The promotion rate was 10%, slightly below the long-term goal of 13%. ComAp continued its preparations for the EU Pay Transparency Directive and is refining its methodology for the adjusted gender pay gap ahead of disclosure. Employee volunteering hours rose by 64% year on year, from 342 to 562.

Governance: Working groups bring ESG into every department
The five working groups set up in 2025 cover Logistics & Supply Chain, Ecodesign, Facility, HR, and Governance. They bring together colleagues from across the company so that ESG goals become part of day-to-day decisions. The Ecodesign group, for example, is building an eco-design checklist into the product development process.

ComAp continues to follow the UK Corporate Governance Code and to operate a whistleblowing system. In 2025, it again recorded zero confirmed bribery incidents, 100% completion of anti-corruption training, and 100% compliance with its Ethical Code. It also introduced automated sanction screening.
