The First Magazine from the Heart of Smart Control

At the beginning of October, the first issue of our magazine The Current was published. Why does a company focusing on the power generation sector publish its own magazine?

The answer is easier that it might seem. The heart of our company lies in its people – employees, distributors, and of course our customers. Without them, we wouldn´t exist. That is what The Current is for.

You can find information about our products and solutions on our website or other materials. But what is not there are opinions of people standing behind our controllers, stories about our customers, and news from industry and business around the field of power generation.

But how is a magazine like The Current created? Let´s go through the whole process!

  1. Get an interesting topic to shape your stories around
    We chose a topic of Innovation for the first issue as it is something that is discussed a lot at ComAp. It is nicely linked with new our InteliVision 12Touch display, an innovative testing system we use internally, and a story of our customer Biotechnology and Biomedicine Centre - Biocev.


  1. Ask experts around your company to get the best content
    The editorial board of the magazine consists of colleagues from different departments and therefore, we are able to come up with a range of interesting topics.


  1. Don´t be afraid to get stories from different areas and employees
    Do you know those moments when you speak to someone from a different field of expertise and you just can´t believe how fascinating it is? We know that feeling and that is why we listen closely, because everybody has a topic or story we can use.


  1. Keep it balanced
    It is easy to get overwhelmed by interesting information about the products or case studies. However, we didn´t want to create another brochure. We wanted a magazine where everybody can find something interesting for them.


  1. Make it beautiful
    Some people say that the content is the king, but to be honest – you need to feel the spark there too! Make the magazine yours and choose the graphic that is close to the heart of the company. We tried not to be strictly bonded to visual identity, though. On the other hand, we decided to bring something fresh and unique.


  1. Enjoy yourself!
    The best part of the process. You deserve it!


The Current will be issued twice a year, and we are already preparing the next issue. Most of the content and topics are again found and co-created by our employees in cooperation with creative professionals.
